Test-phase conditions

auria is in a closed test phase. That is not a figure of speech; it has consequences for what you may expect. This page says openly what they are.

1. What the test phase is

The test phase is a closed trial with a limited number of households. Participation is by invitation, voluntary, and free of charge. Distribution runs through TestFlight on iOS and a closed test track on Android.

You can end your participation at any time by deleting your account in the app. We may also end participation at any time, for instance because the test phase is over or a place is being reallocated; we will give reasonable notice.

2. Expect bugs

Software under trial contains bugs. Expect features to break unexpectedly, the app to close, views to keep changing, and individual features to be unavailable at times.

There is no promised availability, no response time, and no entitlement to support. We welcome every bug report at hello@uxflows.de, but we cannot promise when or whether we will fix something.

3. Data loss is possible

During the test phase your data may be lost. This is not the normal case, but it is expressly possible through an error during a database change, a failed update, or a reset of the test data. Do not rely on auria alone for anything important, and keep a second calendar going while the test phase runs.

We naturally try to avoid this. At this stage, however, we cannot give an assurance.

4. Changes to the feature set

During the test phase we may add, change, or remove features without announcing it. That is exactly what a test phase is for: finding out what holds up. A feature that exists today need not exist tomorrow.

5. What happens to your data at the end

If the test phase turns into regular operation, your data comes along, so you will not have to re-enter anything. Should we decide not to continue auria, we will aim to inform you at least 30 days beforehand. You can request access or a machine-readable copy of data to which you are legally entitled via hello@auria-app.de. We then delete test data unless statutory duties or the rights of other members of a shared household require otherwise.

How we process your data during the test phase is set out in our privacy notice. The test phase changes nothing about that: here too there is no advertising, no tracking, and no sharing with data brokers.

6. Feedback

If you send us feedback, ideas, or bug reports, we may use them to improve auria without any remuneration arising from that. You do not have to send us anything, and you do not have to keep anything secret.

We do ask you not to circulate screenshots from the test version publicly. We cannot compel you; we would simply find it a shame if a half-finished state were taken for the product.

7. Costs

The test phase is free. No fees arise and nothing is charged. If a pricing model follows later, we will inform you in good time; nobody slides into a paid subscription without expressly agreeing to it.

8. Liability

Because use during the test phase is free of charge, we are liable only for intent and gross negligence. Liability for damage arising from injury to life, body, or health, where a guarantee has been given, and under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

Our terms of use apply in all other respects. Where these test-phase conditions differ from them, these conditions take precedence.
